The Sarasota County Green Party recommends a vote for Joe Barbetta in County Commission Race - District 2 on September 5.
Joe Barbetta is the greenest of the three Republican candidates running for the Sarasota County Commission District 2 seat. During his 14 plus years on the planning commission, he has consistently
stood up for the environment and challenged large developers on
issues of density, affordable housing, transportation, concurrency
and water resources. His election would give Sarasota a second voice
on the Commission for many of the issues we Greens care about.
Additionally, Joe has been endorsed by our friends at the local
Sierra Club for his consistent advocacy re: environmental concerns.
So, on September 5, 2006, or before if you prefer "early voting",
make sure you cast your vote for Joe Barbetta for County Commissioner District 2.
